Most Wanted Cruelty-Free And Vegan Sunscreens For A Healthier Skin

After shifting to organic and natural makeup, I’ve decided that it is time to change to cruelty-free and vegan sunscreens, and here’s why.

First, my growing awareness of how damaging we are to the environment and the animals.

Then, the knowledge that most sunscreens on the market contain toxic chemicals that do nothing good for my skin.

I no longer blindly purchase sunscreens but take the time to research the brand and its ingredients before I give them my hard-earned money.

This article is for those of you who, just like me, seek cruelty-free and vegan sunscreens, but don’t know who to trust.

Without any further ado, here they are:

1. Full Spectrum 360 Sun Silk Drops by Coola

Coola vegan sunscreen

This fantastic brand makes some of the best vegan sunscreens made from unique formulations.

The so-called ‘sun drops’ technology in Coola Full Spectrum offer full protection from UVA, UVB, IR, and HEV light.

It means it has the power to protect your skin from the sun and the harsh electronic light of your smartphone, tablet, and computer screen.

It is safe to wear this sunscreen alone by merely applying a few drops on your face and neck, or you can wear it blended with other skincare and makeup products.

2. Pot of Shade: Heliotropic by Kypris

Kypris Vegan Sunscreen

Packed with some of the most amazing natural ingredients, this isn’t JUST one of the best vegan sunscreens out there, but also a fantastic primer.

Heliotropic contains large quantities of non-irritating, sustainably sourced zinc for broad-spectrum SPF 30 protection.

But, its secret lies in the sweet iris stem cells extract which enhances the skin’s appearance, to look plumper, smoother, and more luminous.

Their latest product is the first of an exciting new range of sun care products, in the form of a luxurious vegan sunscreen oil.

The oil contains indigenous South American ingredients such as the extract of the Achiote.

Achiote is a shrub rich in Vitamin C, and beta-carotene.

The product also contains natural oil from the seed of the corozo, a small red tropical fruit that grows on palm trees on Colombia’s coast.

The product has a high sun protection factor which will keep you sunburn-free on the hottest days of the summer.

Also, it will make your skin looking more tanned and glowing at the same time.

4. UV Protecting Fluid by La Mer

This unique fluid formula also helps to prevent the appearance of future discolorations and wrinkles caused by sunburns, dehydration, and overheating.

5. Solar Defense Non-Tinted SPF 50 by HydroPeptide

HydroPeptide Vegan Sunscreen

HydroPeptide’s vegan sunscreen is one of the vegan sunscreens formulas we’ve ever tried thanks to its ingredients designed to prevent fine lines and wrinkles.

Solar Defense is a cruelty-free sunscreen that does not contain any gluten, parabens, phthalates, soy, or sulfates.

Also, its broad spectrum of mineral SPF 50 has zero-tolerance for sun damage, so it is guarding against harmful UVA, UVB, and infrared rays.

Moreover, its rare combination of physical blockers, weightless hydration, and botanical antioxidants leaves a beautiful sheer-matte finish on your skin.
