Services Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The VOU, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional experience across our suite of professional styling and digital services. We understand that plans can change and have designed our policy to be as clear and fair as possible.

This policy governs all services provided by The VOU (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, our client (“you”). By purchasing or booking a service, you agree to these terms.

Our services are categorised as follows:

  • Personal Styling Consultations: Our one-on-one, in-person styling, shopping, colour analysis, and body shape analysis services.
  • Digital Styling & Analysis: Our online services, including personalised colour, hair, makeup, and body shape analysis conducted remotely.
  • Digital Products: Our instant-download style guides, seasonal colour palettes, and lookbooks available for purchase on www.thevou.com.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

The following terms apply depending on the service you have purchased. A “working day” refers to any day from Monday to Friday and does not include public holidays in England.

1. Personal Styling Consultations (In-Person Services)

Cancellations:

  • More than 7 working days’ notice: You are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid, less a £45 administration fee.
  • Less than 7 working days’ notice: If you cancel with less than one week’s notice, no refund can be provided.
  • Failure to Attend: If you do not attend your scheduled appointment, you will be liable for the full fee, and no refund will be issued.

Rescheduling:

  • 14 working days’ notice or more: You may reschedule your appointment one time with no additional fee.
  • At least 7 working days’ notice: A £40 fee will be charged to reschedule your appointment.
  • Subsequent Rescheduling: If you have already rescheduled once, any further changes will incur a £40 fee, regardless of the notice provided.

2. Digital Styling & Analysis (Online Services)

Our online analysis is a personalised service that begins once we receive your materials.

  • Before You Submit Materials: You are entitled to a full refund if your request is made within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not yet uploaded your photographs or other requested materials.
  • After You Submit Materials: Once your photographs have been uploaded, our stylists begin their work. At this point, the service is considered in progress and no refunds can be issued.

3. Digital Products (Instant Downloads)

All sales of instant download digital products (e.g., PDF style guides, digital palettes) are final.

There are no refunds offered for these products. By completing the purchase and clicking to download the content, you acknowledge and agree that you waive your right to cancel the contract.


How to Make a Change or Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, reschedule an appointment, or request a refund for an online service, please contact our client services team as soon as possible by emailing contact@thevou.com. Please include your full name and order confirmation number in your email.

General Terms
