Loro Piana Style: 15 Celebrity Looks, What Is Confirmed and How to Wear Them

Start here

What’s This About

Loro Piana is an Italian cashmere and fine-wool brand, and only some of the famous men linked to it online have dated reports confirming they wore it.

This guide looks at fifteen photographed celebrity outfits in a soft, understated style and how to wear each one, such as:

A tan leather bomber over a white T-shirt and jeans

A herringbone overcoat over a navy jacket and T-shirt

A navy double-breasted jacket with jeans

Knitted polo shirts with white trousers

A padded gilet with chinos for cold days

and many more!

Where a dated report confirms that a man wore Loro Piana we cite it; otherwise we describe only what the photograph shows.

Key Points

01LVMH dates Loro Piana to 1924 in Quarona and announced its 80% stake on 8 July 2013.

02Dated reports name David Beckham, Brooklyn Beckham and Jeremy Strong in Loro Piana, and Hyun Bin as a brand ambassador.

03Mark Zuckerberg corrected one jumper credit to Buck Mason, and a May 2024 report says he still wears Loro Piana alongside other brands.

04The look rests on soft neutrals, texture instead of logos and knitwear in place of shirts and ties.

Loro Piana is an Italian maker of cloth and clothing, known for cashmere, vicuña and fine wool, and for clothes that rarely show a logo.

According to LVMH, the company was founded in 1924 by Pietro Loro Piana in Quarona, in Piedmont, and LVMH announced on 8 July 2013 that it had bought an 80% stake, with the Loro Piana family keeping 20%.

For more on the brand itself, see our guide to why Loro Piana is linked with quiet luxury.

This guide looks at fifteen well-known men photographed in the soft, understated clothes the brand is known for, plus a note on Mark Zuckerberg, and shows how to wear each look with clothes from any maker.

A Note on Celebrity Brand Claims

Celebrity outfits are often credited to Loro Piana online without confirmation from the brand, the wearer or a stylist.

Where we found a dated report, we cite it.

Where we did not, we describe only what the photograph shows and do not claim who made the clothes.

The look comes from colour, fabric and fit, so you can recreate it at any price.

1. Jeff Bezos: Pale Layers and Suede

Two photographs of a man: on the left a cream suede-look jacket over a white shirt with white trousers, beige suede boots and sunglasses; on the right a grey knitted polo shirt with stone trousers and green suede loafers, with a cream jacket carried

The photographs show a cream suede-look jacket over a white shirt with white trousers and beige suede boots, and a grey knitted polo shirt with stone trousers and green suede loafers.

Both outfits keep to pale neutrals and soft textures, a combination that suits warm weather and relaxed occasions.

Wear: a cream or stone suede or cotton overshirt, a white shirt or grey knitted polo shirt, stone or white trousers and suede loafers or desert boots.

2. Daniel Craig: Dark Knitwear and a Heavy Scarf

Two photographs of a man: on the left a black shirt buttoned to the collar with black trousers; on the right a navy cardigan with a heavy blue wool scarf and glasses, holding a brown leather folio

The photographs show a black shirt buttoned to the collar with black trousers, and a navy cardigan worn with a heavy blue wool scarf.

A single dark colour from collar to shoes looks smart without a jacket or tie.

For other makers in the same price bracket, see our list of luxury brands favoured by very wealthy buyers.

Wear: a navy or black knitted cardigan over a dark shirt, charcoal trousers, black leather boots and a chunky wool scarf.

3. Leonardo DiCaprio: A Navy Suit, With or Without a Tie

Two photographs of a man: on the left a navy suit with a white shirt and a navy tie; on the right a dark suit with a white shirt open at the collar

The photographs show a navy suit with a white shirt and navy tie, and a dark suit with an open-collar white shirt.

Removing the tie is the simplest way to make the same suit less formal.

Wear: a navy wool suit, a white shirt, a navy tie for work or an open collar for evenings, and black Oxford shoes.

4. Chris Hemsworth: A Leather Bomber Over a T-Shirt

The photograph shows a tan leather bomber jacket over a white T-shirt with blue jeans and a brown leather belt.

A leather or suede bomber in a warm brown is one of the easiest jackets to wear with jeans.

Wear: a tan leather or suede bomber, a white crew-neck T-shirt, straight blue jeans, a brown belt and brown suede boots.

5. Patrick Dempsey: Tailoring With Roll-Necks and T-Shirts

Two photographs of a man: on the left a dark jacket over a black roll-neck with black trousers; on the right a navy blazer over a white T-shirt with navy trousers

The photographs show a dark jacket over a black roll-neck with black trousers, and a navy blazer over a white T-shirt with navy trousers.

A roll-neck or a plain T-shirt under a jacket replaces the shirt and tie for evening and weekend wear.

Wear: a navy blazer, a white T-shirt or black fine-gauge roll-neck, navy or charcoal trousers and black leather loafers.

6. Jay Ellis: A Patterned Overcoat Over Simple Basics

The photograph shows a grey herringbone overcoat over a navy jacket and white T-shirt, with black trousers and brown suede boots.

A patterned overcoat lets plain clothes underneath look finished in cold weather.

Wear: a grey herringbone or tweed overcoat, a navy jacket or overshirt, a white T-shirt, black trousers and brown suede boots.

7. Nicholas Hoult: A Double-Breasted Jacket With Jeans

A tailored jacket with jeans sits between casual and smart, which suits dinners and creative workplaces.

Wear: a navy double-breasted jacket, a blue striped shirt, dark straight jeans and brown suede loafers.

8. Pedro Pascal: A Shearling-Collar Jacket

Wear: a blue or brown jacket with a shearling collar, a grey jumper, dark jeans and brown leather boots.

9. Mark Ruffalo: Navy in Different Textures

Two photographs of a man: on the left a navy pinstripe suit with a navy roll-neck and black shoes; on the right a navy jacket over an open-knit top and a striped shirt with dark trousers

The photographs show a navy pinstripe suit with a navy roll-neck, and a navy jacket over an open-knit top and a striped shirt.

Keeping one colour while changing texture adds interest without adding pattern.

Wear: a navy suit, a navy fine-gauge roll-neck and black leather Chelsea boots.

10. David Beckham: Warm Colours and Knitwear

Two photographs of a man: on the left a brown corduroy suit with a green roll-neck, a long purple scarf and brown suede shoes; on the right a yellow knitted polo shirt with white trousers and grey suede loafers

Red Carpet Fashion Awards reported that Beckham wore a navy Loro Piana suit to the London premiere of the Netflix series Beckham on 3 October 2023.

Tatler Asia’s October 2023 cover story also credited a Loro Piana jacket and a Loro Piana jumper in its photographs of him.

The photographs here show two other outfits: a brown corduroy suit with a green roll-neck and a long purple scarf, and a yellow knitted polo shirt with white trousers.

Both use strong but warm colours against simple shapes.

Wear: a brown corduroy suit, a green or cream roll-neck, a wool scarf and brown suede shoes; in summer, a yellow knitted polo shirt with white trousers and suede loafers.

11. Ryan Reynolds: A Padded Gilet for Cold Days

Two photographs of a man in a navy padded gilet over a navy hooded top, a bright blue beanie, sunglasses, stone chinos and white trainers

The photographs show a navy padded gilet over a navy hooded top, with a blue beanie, stone chinos and white trainers.

A gilet keeps the body warm while leaving the arms free, which suits walking around a city in winter.

Wear: a navy padded gilet, a navy hoodie or jumper, stone chinos, white leather trainers and a wool beanie.

12. Jeremy Strong: Formal and Relaxed Tailoring

Two photographs of a man: on the left a navy double-breasted suit with an orange bow tie; on the right a dark green jacket over a white shirt with brown trousers, white trainers and a bucket hat

What We Adore reported on 6 October 2023 that Strong wore a Loro Piana made-to-measure suit to the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards in Milan.

The Fashionisto reported on 15 October 2025 that he wore a Loro Piana corduroy bomber and matching trousers to the London premiere of Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.

His character Kendall Roy in Succession also wore a Loro Piana cashmere baseball cap, which costume designer Michelle Matland described tracking down in an interview with W magazine on 8 May 2023.

The photographs show a navy double-breasted suit with an orange bow tie, and a dark green jacket over a white shirt with brown trousers and white trainers.

Wear: a dark green or navy unstructured jacket, a white shirt with an open collar, brown wool trousers and white leather trainers.

13. Brad Pitt: Casual Jackets in Brown and Blue

Two photographs of a man: on the left a brown zip jacket with black trousers; on the right a blue suede bomber over a white T-shirt with faded jeans and trainers

The photographs show a brown zip jacket with black trousers, and a blue suede bomber over a white T-shirt with faded jeans.

A suede or cotton zip jacket over a T-shirt is a simple, comfortable alternative to a blazer.

Wear: a blue or brown suede bomber, a white T-shirt, light blue jeans and white or grey trainers.

14. Hyun Bin: Knitwear With White Trousers

Two photographs of a man: on the left a rust knitted polo shirt with white trousers and suede loafers; on the right a brown striped knitted jumper with white trousers and white trainers

Hyun Bin was named a Loro Piana brand ambassador, the brand’s first from Korea, as Tatler Asia reported on 8 September 2021.

The photographs show a rust knitted polo shirt with white trousers and suede loafers, and a brown striped jumper with white trousers and white trainers.

White trousers make warm-coloured knitwear look lighter and suit spring and summer.

Wear: a rust or brown knitted polo shirt, white or cream trousers and tan suede loafers.

15. Brooklyn Beckham: A Black Suit With an Open Collar

Two photographs of a man in a black suit with a white shirt open at the collar

What We Adore reported that Brooklyn Beckham wore a full Loro Piana look to the London premiere of the Netflix series Beckham on 3 October 2023.

The photographs show a black suit with a white shirt open at the collar.

A black suit without a tie suits evening events where a dinner suit would be too formal.

For a more casual mix of tailoring and streetwear, swap the shirt for a plain T-shirt and the shoes for clean leather trainers.

Wear: a black suit, a white shirt with an open collar and black leather shoes.

Does Mark Zuckerberg Wear Loro Piana?

A man on a stage in a navy long-sleeved crew-neck top and black trousers

The evidence is mixed: he corrected one jumper credit to Buck Mason, and a May 2024 report says he still wears Loro Piana alongside other brands, without naming specific garments.

Zuckerberg corrected a journalist who identified one of his jumpers as Loro Piana, saying it was from Buck Mason, as theSkimm reported in an undated newsletter.

A report in The Telegraph India’s t2 on 2 May 2024 repeats that correction and adds that he has not turned his back on Loro Piana, while also wearing Buck Mason, Todd Snyder and John Elliott.

Separately, CNBC reported in June 2019 that his grey T-shirts came from Brunello Cucinelli; see our guide to celebrity looks in Brunello Cucinelli’s style.

The photograph shows a navy long-sleeved crew-neck top with black trousers, a plain uniform that is easy to copy.

Wear: a navy fine-knit crew-neck jumper, black or charcoal trousers and black leather trainers.

How to Wear the Loro Piana Look

Choose soft neutrals: navy, grey, cream, stone and brown combine easily.

Favour texture over logos: suede, cashmere, corduroy and flannel add interest to plain clothes.

Layer knitwear: a knitted polo shirt, roll-neck or cardigan can replace a shirt and tie.

Keep the fit easy: slightly relaxed clothes look comfortable, but shoulders and trouser length should still fit.

Judge the garment, not the label: a high price does not prove higher quality, so check fabric, construction and fit.

Personal Help From The VOU

After the three quizzes, if you would like personal help, you can book a consultation through our paid styling services for men, created by The VOU’s image consultants and stylists.

To ask a question first, contact us.

Mandy Meyer’s focus at The VOU is men’s body-shape styling, garment fit and outfit proportions. Her coverage addresses the practical questions behind a wardrobe choice: how a jacket sits across the shoulders, how trousers fall and how different cuts change the silhouette a wearer wants to create.

Her subject areas include the triangle, inverted triangle, rectangle, oval, trapezoid, hourglass and diamond labels used in body-shape styling. These provide starting references for comparing visible proportions; they do not capture every body or prescribe one correct way to dress. The focus connects those observations with garment shape, construction, length and the relationship between the upper and lower parts of an outfit.

Mandy’s editorial coverage combines visual comparisons with fit checks for comfort and movement. Readers can consider whether a cut gives them the room they need, where clothing pulls or gathers and which changes might support their preferred look. The aim is to make menswear choices more understandable while keeping personal preferences and the wearer’s own styling goals central.
